“You have arrived in hell”: torture and abuse against Venezuelan migrants in El Salvador

Webinar on International Migrants Day

As International Migrants Day approaches, we invite you to participate in a webinar to understand the severity of the human rights violations faced by Venezuelans deported to El Salvador.

During this event, we will present the findings of the report produced by Human Rights Watch and Cristosal, based on exhaustive research into the conditions of detention of Venezuelan migrants at the Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT).

This webinar, organized by Alianza Americas alongside Human Rights Watch, Cristosal, and LAWG, will provide a space to analyze the implications of these deportations to third countries, as well as the conditions of detention and the lack of guarantees for migrants deprived of their liberty. On this date, we call for reflection on human rights and the protection that all people in mobility should receive.

Date: December 18

Time: 10:00 a.m. PT | 12:00 p.m. CT (Mexico y Central America) | 1:00 p.m. ET
