Venezuelan Migrants Under Attack: TPS and the Fight to Stay

2026

The Venezuelan community in the United States is facing a critical moment. Hundreds of thousands of people have relied on immigration protections such as TPS and humanitarian parole to remain in the United States, while recent changes in immigration policies have jeopardized their stability and future.

At the same time, conditions in Venezuela continue to be a cause for concern. The 7.2- and 7.5-magnitude earthquakes that struck the country on June 24 exacerbated an already complex humanitarian situation and raise new questions about the conditions for return.

In this webinar, Alianza Americas and leaders of the Venezuelan diaspora will discuss what is happening, what is at stake for Venezuelans in the United States, and how organizations and communities can respond.
