In a regional context marked by polarization and the spread of narratives that portray migration as a threat, there is an urgent need to shift the focus of public discourse. The most effective responses do not come from fearmongering, but from concrete work in communities.
We invite you to the presentation of the report Somos Comunidad (We Are Community): Local Lessons for Inclusion, a project by Alianza Americas that compiles analysis, evidence, and local experiences on how to build more just, cohesive, and resilient communities.
This report is based on a clear premise: migration does not generate social conflicts; rather, inequality, exclusion, and the lack of inclusive public policies do. When cities invest in inclusion, they strengthen coexistence, civic participation, and collective well-being.
