Inclusive Education and Migration: How Classrooms Build Stronger Communities

2026

Schools play a vital role in building inclusive communities. When migrant children have access to safe and welcoming learning environments, their individual opportunities grow — and communities become more connected, diverse, and resilient.

This webinar will explore how classrooms can become spaces of belonging and integration for migrant students. Drawing from the legacy of Plyler v. Doe, experts in education and migration policy will discuss practices and policies that promote educational inclusion, with special attention to bilingual education and long-term integration strategies.

The conversation will also address the challenges many migrant children continue to face and the initiatives working to ensure equitable access to education.
