Panel 1: The future of democracy in the U.S. post midterm elections.

A reflection on what we should make of the U.S. midterm election results, and the subsequent implications for the well-being of Latin American migrant populations and other communities throughout the country.

Panel 2: What would a better U.S. policy towards Latin America and the Caribbean look like?

A discussion about the results of various recent elections across the Americas, and the potential impact of the U.S. midterms on the country’s foreign policy on Latin America and the Caribbean. What are the implications for building transnational advocacy proposals that increase the well-being of our communities?

  • Epsy Campbell, Chair of the UN Permanent Forum on People of African Descent, former Vice President of Costa Rica.
