WHAT: As part of the series Root Causes of Migration from Central America, Alianza Americas and its members CARECEN Washington DC, CARECEN San Francisco, Central American Black Organization (ONECA), Hondureños Contra el SIDA, Casa Yurumein, Centro Presente and its partners Presente.org, Latin American Working Group, Center for Gender and Refugee Studies, and OXFAM, will host the live virtual conversation “What Are the Root Causes of Migration from Central American? Part 4: Violence,” this Thursday, April 8. The conversation will feature leaders and experts from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador who will discuss systemic violence in these countries, the current approach to security policies, and urgently needed solutions to address violence in the region.
