WHAT: As part of the series “Root Causes of Migration from Central America,” Alianza Americas and its members CARECEN Washington DC, CARECEN San Francisco, Central American Black Organization (ONECA), Hondureños contra el SIDA, Casa Yurumein, Centro Presente and its partners Presente.org, Latin American Working Group, Center for Gender and Refugee Studies, and OXFAM, will host the live conversation “What Are the Root Causes of Migration from Central American? Part 3: Fiscal Management and Inequity,” this Thursday, April 1. The conversation will feature leaders and experts from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador who will discuss fiscal policies from their respective countries, economic inequality, and the needed changes for the region to be economically stable and overcome inequalities.
